Who we are

If you have visited our ‘Moshulu’ store in Tenby (operated by Paris House Shoes Ltd) which is run by a separate business as our representatives, they may have collected some information from you on our behalf. We are still the data controller and you should contact us if you have queries about how your information is used.
About the information we collect
We collect information from our customers and enquirers at different times and in different ways. How we use that information and the lawful basis that permits this is different depending on when we collect the information. Existing Customers of Moshulu (as at 25th May 2018)
If you are an existing customer of ours at the 25th May we may have collected some information from you when you purchased from our website or in store. This may include your name, address and email address and, in some cases, your date of birth.
We will continue to use your information to design new products and services and provide an enhanced customer experience making it easier to shop with us and return products. We believe this is within our interest as a business. We also use your name, address and/or email address to send you information about products and services we think would be of interest to you including promotions and offers, details of new ranges and products. This may include the products and services of third parties. We always stop marketing to you if you ask us to.
In these circumstances, we will retain your information for up to 10 years after your last purchase with us.
Making a purchase from our Website or over the phone
When you purchase a product from us using our website we will collect your name, address, telephone number and email address along with details of the transactions, payment methods, your communications with us and in some cases device information including IP address.
We need this information in order to fulfil your order and also to allow you to return any products if you wish and deal with any concerns you might have. This is a contract between us and if you don’t provide the information we won’t be able to sell you products this way. We are also required to collect some of this information to meet our legal obligations such as accounting for VAT and may use it for fraud prevention.
We may share this information with third parties we deal with to fulfil the contract such as our delivery partners. They may use this information including your email address or telephone number to communicate with you about the delivery of your goods.

If you have purchased a product from one of our partners such as Lazy Jacks your name, address, telephone number and email address will be passed to our partners for the purpose of dispatching your order. They may also use your information for purposes in line with their interests as a business such sending you details about their products and services as set out in their privacy policy.

The participating retailers are active in the clothing, collectables, food & wine, gardening, gadgets & entertainment, health & beauty, household goods, travel and home interiors categories. This marketing is also part of our interest as a business but you can ask us to not to use your data in this way.
We always stop marketing to you if you ask us to.
When you make an online purchase from us you can choose to opt-out of marketing by email using the check box on the checkout. In these circumstances, we will retain your information for up to 10 years after your last purchase with us.
Our Relationship with Shopify
Our Website is hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the Services for you. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside, in order to provide and improve the Services for you. Making a purchase from one of our Moshulu Stores
When you purchase a product from us in one of our stores we will ask you for your name and address. You are not obliged to provide this information.

Our stores can provide transaction receipts by email. If we already have your email address and you agree to the stores offers of an email receipt, your email address will be used for that transaction and stored so that the service may be offered in the future. If we are using your existing email address for other purposes such as our email newsletter this will not change regardless of whether you agree to an email receipt or not.
We may ask for your email address or to update your existing email address for the purpose of the email receipt service.
When we do this we may also ask if you happy for us to use that email address to provide information about products and services we think would be of interest to you including promotions and offers, details of new ranges and products. You do not have to agree to this and you will only receive this information if you give your consent.

We will stop using your email address to send you marketing information once you have asked us to stop but to ensure you don’t receive further email marketing we will retain your email address.
Where we collected or update an email address in store it will form part of the information we use to design new products and services as part of our Legitimate interest as a business.
In all these circumstances, we will retain your information for up to 10 years after your last purchase with us.
Purchasing Moshulu products via Debenhams
If you have purchased Moshulu products via Debenhams.com we will have received your name, address, telephone number and email address. We will only use this information to process your order in line with your contract with Debenhams including, dispatch, processing returns and after sales queries.
In these circumstances, we will retain your information for up to 1 year from the date of the transaction.
Joining the Email Newsletter list
We collect your email address, name and address, and date of birth when you supply these on the Subscriber pages or pop-ups, responding to referral links or emails, you create a new account but are not buying a product at that time. We use this to add you to our email newsletter subscriber list.
This data is used to send you details of the products and services, offers and promotions. By supplying your details on this page you are agreeing to the use of this data in this way. You can ask us to stop providing this information by scrolling to the top of this page or here or by clicking the unsubscribe link on any email we send you. We will stop using your email address to send you marketing information once you have asked us to but to ensure you don’t receive further email marketing we will retain the email address.
In these circumstances, we will retain your information for up to 10 years from an unsubscribe request.
Joining the Mobile Messaging Service
We collect your mobile telephone number when you enter it on the sign-up form pages or check the opt-in box on the checkout. We will use this to add you to our mobile message service subscriber list. This data is used to send you details of the products and services, offers and promotions by SMS/text message. By supplying your details on this page you are agreeing to the use of this data in this way.
You can ask us to stop providing this information by clicking the unsubscribe link on any SMS/text message we send you. We will stop using your mobile telephone number to send you marketing information once you have asked us to but to ensure you don’t receive further SMS/text marketing we will retain the email address. In these circumstances, we will retain your information for up to 10 years from an unsubscribe request.
We will not share details supplied for this service with any third parties other than to deliver the message service itself.
Save Your Basket
We collect your email address when you supply it on the Save Your Basket pop-up, this data is used to provide the service. By supplying your details on this page you are agreeing to the use of this data in this way. We also use your email address to improve the service and develop new services. We believe this is within our interest as a business. Becoming a Referrer
We provide a referral reward service. We collect your email address and name when you choose to become a referrer via this service. We use this data to administer this scheme including the provision of rewards. By supplying your information on the referral pages you are agreeing to the use of your data in this way. You can ask us to stop processing your data for this purpose by contacting us.
We also use your information to improve the service or develop other services. We believe this is within our interest as a business. Responding to a Referral Link or email
We collect your email address when you respond to a referral link or email for the purpose of providing you with the referral reward including establishing entitlement to the reward. We will retain your information for up to 10 years from the last time you supplied it via this service.

Requesting one of our Catalogues
We collect your name and address when your supply these on the “Request a Catalogue” page to send you our next catalogue of products. By supplying your details on this page you are agreeing to the use of this data in this way. You can ask us to stop sending the catalogue by contacting us at Customer.Services@moshulu.co.uk You should be aware that processing for some postal communication may have already taken place by the time we receive your request and therefore you may receive one more communication.
In these circumstances, we will retain your information until we send the catalogue you have requested.
Leaving a Review
When you leave a store review or product review, we may collect your name and email address and by providing this you are entering into a competition (See the section Entering a Competition below).
We may also use your email address to contact you to offer further assistance with the product or the service which you are reviewing. Where you have provided your postcode we may use that to link your review to your account and purchase history. In both case this is within our interest as a business enabling us to design better products and services and provide customers with a better shopping experience.
You can ask us not to use your data in this way by contacting us at the address or email address above explaining why you feel this is not appropriate in your circumstances. We won’t share this information or use it for any marketing purposes.
Entering a Competition
When you enter one of our competitions, we may collect your name and email address and in some cases your date of birth. You may be offered the opportunity to join our email newsletter list at the time you enter the competition. If you take this opportunity we will treat your information in the way described above under ‘Joining the Email Newsletter list’.
If you don’t take this opportunity, the information you provide will be used to operate the competition you have entered and select a winner. If you wish to withdraw from the competition you can do so by contacting us at Customer.Services@moshulu.co.uk.
For some competitions where we are working with other businesses, for example if they are providing a prize, your information may be shared with them in order to provide the prize. All competitions have their own terms and conditions of the competition and this will specify whether information will be shared with other business and why.
Our competitions are currently operated by Woobox who manage this information on our behalf. Woobox are based in the United States and the information may be processed in the United States. Woobox are members of the EU-US Privacy Shield scheme which means we are satisfied that they provide you with appropriate safeguards and rights over your information.
We will also use your information to compile statistics about our competitions and improve them. We believe this is within our interest as a business. Information collected in this way will be retained for not longer than 12 months
How we look after your information
We take the security of your information very seriously, employing appropriate measures such as encryption to ensure that information is transferred and stored securely. We also check our security measures by engaging independent security experts to test our systems for weaknesses.
Your rights in relation to your information
As well as the right to ask us not to use your information for a particular purpose, you have a number of other rights:
You can ask us to let you know what information we hold about you and how that is being used. We will provide you with a copy of your personal information free. Additional copies may be subject to a reasonable administrative fee.
If you believe any of the information we hold about you is incorrect you can ask us to change it. You can ask us to stop using your information whilst we check its accuracy.
You can ask us to delete any information we hold about you. Depending on the reasons we hold the information it may not always be possible to delete your information but we will inform you if that is the case. In some circumstance, we may ask you if we can hold your information to ensure that we comply with your wishes, for example to ensure we don’t send you any marketing in the future.
You can ask us to stop using your information whilst we look into any request to stop using your information for any of the purposes listed in this privacy policy.
We will try deal all of your requests and concerns fairly and to your satisfaction but if you remain dissatisfied with how your information is handled or how we have dealt with your concerns, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
