Ethics & Sustainability

We know the environment is incredibly important to our customers, as it is to us. We also know that the comfort and quality of our products is paramount. We work hard to find an appropriate balance between being ethically and environmentally responsible, and producing the footwear which you know and love. 

Here you’ll find information about what we’re doing now, and in the future, to strike that balance.

Below is a snapshot of some of the measures we monitor as of 2023.

Our intentions

By 2026

  • To have 80% of our leather sourced from Leather Working Group tanneries and 40% of our footwear containing responsible elements
  • To have the best visibility of our suppliers’ ethical practices, with 100% of suppliers having an Ethical and Health and Safety audit
  • To have over 65% of shoe boxes made from FSC or recycled materials
  • To have raised £45k for the National Trust

By 2027

  • To have a solution in place to allow us to recycle worn footwear

By 2030

  • To reduce our reliance of virgin plastic by using either Green PE bags or no bags on 100% of our products

Ongoing 

  • To continue to monitor our gender pay gap year on year, with the intention to ensure continued equality in our pay framework
  • To continue to focus on the ‘extras’ that together build upon the positive impact we can have on the environment as a responsible business

Transparency

We are now working to clearly index each of our products using a series of identifiable icons which ensure that our customers understand the sustainable and ethical status of their favourite products.
